陳界仁

Chen Chieh-Jen was born in Taoyuan, Taiwan in 1960, he currently lives and works in Taipei.

He graduated from the post-secondary art and engineering department and he works mainly with video installations.

During the martial law period in Taiwan, the martial law system was disrupted by means of performance art and underground art exhibitions.

In 2000 and 2004, he was selected to be included in FRESH CREAM and Japan’s BT Art Handbook of contemporary artist.

In 2000, he won the Korea Gwangju Biennale Special Award and the 2009 Taiwan National Literature Award (Visual Art).

He has participated in the Taipei Biennale, the Sao Paulo Biennale in Brazil, the Venice Biennale and the Mexican International Photography Biennale.

1960年生於台灣桃園,目前居住和工作於台北。

畢業於高職美工科,作品以影像裝置創作為主。

台灣戒嚴時期曾以行為藝術和策劃體制外地下藝術展覽等方式干擾當時的戒嚴體制。

2000年及2004年分別入選英國藝術刊物FRESH CREAM、日本《BT美術手帖》當代百位藝術家。

2000年獲韓國光州雙年展特別獎、2009年獲台灣國家文藝獎 (視覺藝術類)。

曾參加台北雙年展、巴西聖保羅雙年展、威尼斯雙年展和墨西哥國際攝影雙年展等。
