Huang Chih-Yang
黃致陽
Huang Chih-Yang was born in Taipei in 1965, he graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of the Chinese Culture University in Taiwan and now lives and works in Beijing.
He lived in New York in the 1990s and moved to Beijing in 2006.
He works with ink painting, installations, sculptures, images and various other mediums. Recent works include the large white marble carving device “Possessing Numerous Peaks—Dragon Vein”.
He participated in the 46th and 54th Venice Biennale in 1995 and 2011 respectively.
In 2010, he participated in the International Sculpture Exhibition of the Axis Sculpture Gallery of the Shanghai World Expo, and participated in the Paris International Contemporary Art Fair in 2011. In the same year, he held a solo exhibition during Art Basel in Miami.
1965年生於台北,畢業於台灣中國文化大學國畫系,現居住和工作於北京。
九○年代旅居紐約,2006年移居北京。
創作運用水墨繪畫、裝置、雕塑、影像等諸多藝術媒介,近期作品包括大型漢白玉雕刻裝置《座千峰•龍脈》。
他先後參加1995年第四十六屆和2011年第五十四屆威尼斯雙年展。
2010年參與上海世博會軸雕塑長廊國際雕塑展、2011年參加巴黎國際當代藝術博覽會,同年在邁阿密巴塞爾藝術展期間舉辦個展。
