Lu Jie was born in Fujian in 1964 and graduated from the China Academy of Art and Goldsmiths College at the University of London, UK for Master of Fine Arts in Curation and Arts Management. He currently lives and works in Beijing.
In 1999, he founded Long March Space, a contemporary art institution in Beijing, which participate in curated exhibitions, independent projects, resident creations, academic conferences and lectures, publishing, art marketing, sales, artist agency, art investment consultants and capital operations.
His has also participated in numerous international art exhibitions. From 2008 to 2009, the Long March Project and Lu Jiu was included in the British Magazine, Art Review’s annual list of Power 100: this year’s most influential people in the contemporary artworld.
1964年生於福建,畢業於中國美術學院和英國倫敦大學哥德斯密思學院藝術策展與管理碩士專業,現居住和工作於北京。
1999年在北京創辦當代藝術機構「長征空間」,集策展、獨立項目、駐地創作、學術會議和講座、出版、藝術市場推廣、銷售、藝術家代理、藝術投資諮詢顧問及資本運作為一體。
多次參加國際藝術展覽。2008至2009年「長征計劃」以畫廊和藝術家的集體身分,連續兩年入選英國藝術雜誌 Art Review的年度全球藝術權力榜。
