Zhan Wang was born in Beijing in 1962, he graduated from the Sculpture Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1988.
In 1995, he began to create the concept sculpture "Artificial Rock (Jiashanshi)" series, and is currently a professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
In recent years, his main works include "Urban Landscape" and "My Personal Universe".
He has exhibited at the National Art Museum of China, the Williams College Museum in the United States, the Berne Art Museum in Switzerland, the Tokyo Mori Art Museum, the New York Asian Association Art Museum, and the New York International Photography Center.
He has also performed art projects on Mount Everest, the Great Wall and the Atlantic Ocean, and has participated in many international exhibitions such as the Venice Biennale.
1962年生於北京,1988年畢業於中央美術學院雕塑系。
1995年開始創作觀念雕塑作品「假山石」系列,現任中央美術學院雕塱系教授。
近年主要作品包括《都市山水》、《我的宇宙》等。
曾在包括中國美術館、美國威廉姆斯學院博物館、瑞士伯恩美術館、東京森美術館、紐約亞洲協會美術館、紐約國際攝影中心展出。
他也在珠穆朗瑪峰、長城和大西洋上實施過藝術項目,並多次參加威尼斯雙年展等國際展覽。
